Plans and billing
Every account starts on the free plan, with two hours of listening a month. Plus and Pro add hours, and the Plan tab of your account page shows what you have used and where to change your plan.
On this page
Open your plan
On a public page, open Account and choose Plan and billing. If the header shows Menu instead, open it and choose Plan and billing. This opens your own account's Plan tab.
In the app, choose Account and the Plan tab. The header also keeps your plan and listening time on every app page; press that chip for its details and plan keys. When you switch to a team, the chip shows the team's plan and time.
What the free plan includes
You get two free hours of listening a month and every feature SaysHere has. No payment details are asked for. Your hours renew on the first of each month.
Plus and Pro
- Plus: 15 hours of listening a month, $14 a month or $140 a year.
- Pro: 30 hours of listening a month, $24 a month or $240 a year.
Every plan has every feature. A year costs the same as ten months. The pricing page lists them side by side.
Get Plus or Pro
- In the app, open Account, then Plan, and press Upgrade. The pricing page opens.
- Choose Monthly or Yearly, read the renewal terms under the key (a short line; Renewal terms opens the full text), and press Get Plus for $14 a month or Get Pro for $24 a month (by the year, Get Plus for $140 a year or Get Pro for $240 a year). Stripe's checkout page opens; pay there.
- Stripe brings you back to the Plan tab, which says your plan shows as soon as Stripe confirms the payment, usually within a minute.
The Team plan
The Team plan, $29 a seat a month or $290 a seat a year, with 35 hours of listening a month for each seat, is for a team workspace: each seat adds its hours to one pool the team shares, with shared notes and projects. It is bought from the Teams tab of your account page with New team, which asks the team's name and the billing period and opens Stripe's checkout for the first seat. While it cannot be bought yet, its card on the pricing page says buying a Team plan is paused.
Your listening time
The Plan tab shows your listening for the month: a bar of the time used, the time left with the day it resets, a paid plan's renewal or paid-through day, and the text calls left.
When 10 minutes are left, and again at 2 minutes, Listen says so above the transcript with one key: Get Plus on the free plan, which opens the pricing page, and Add 10 hours for $9 on Plus or Pro, which opens Stripe's checkout page. Either page opens in a new tab, so the session keeps running.
When the time is used, the session ends and the panel offers the same key. The transcript stays on the screen: save it as a text file, or once the key's page is open, press Start listening to carry on. If you press it before Stripe confirms the payment, the panel says so and keeps the transcript on the screen. A bigger plan counts as soon as Stripe confirms it, and on Plus or Pro the added hours below are spent once the month's hours are used.
Pauses and dropped connections
On the free plan and in the demo, a session closes when its microphone stays paused or muted for 30 seconds, or when the connection drops and does not come back within 30 seconds. On Plus, Pro and the Team plan, a pause or a muted microphone keeps the session open for up to 2 hours, and a dropped connection, a closed laptop or a reload has 5 minutes to come back. Time while a session is paused, muted or disconnected never uses your listening hours.
Added hours
On Plus or Pro, the Plan tab's Added hours row shows the hours you have added and the day the first of them expires, and its key Add 10 hours for $9 buys ten hours more through Stripe's checkout page. Added hours are spent after the month's hours and expire 30 days after the purchase. Back on the Plan tab, a notice says the hours were added and the day they expire once Stripe confirms the payment. Bought from Listen's key, the checkout page comes back to Listen in its own tab with the same notice, and a running session counts the hours as soon as they are added.
Change or cancel a plan
On Plus or Pro, the Plan tab's key reads Manage or cancel. Press it, and Stripe's billing page opens, where you change the plan, update your card or cancel. What cancelling does and when a charge is refunded is on the refunds and cancellation page.
