Delete a session

On a session's page, press Delete. The question that opens says what goes. Press Delete to delete the session, or Keep it to leave it as it was. A session kept in your account goes at once with its notes and its links. The Library then says what went, such as "Deleted: the transcript and its notes." Your other devices remove their copies the next time they list your sessions. A device also removes, within a day, its copy of any session you can no longer open, such as one in a team you left.

Backups

SaysHere copies its database every night, so something you delete is gone from every copy within 30 days.

Let this device delete old sessions

On the account page, This device has Delete sessions on this device after: 30 days, 90 days, 365 days or Never. It applies to the sessions kept on this device. Checked when you open SaysHere and once a day while it is open. Never means SaysHere deletes nothing by itself. The browser can still clear what it stores.

Remove every session from this device

Remove my sessions from this device, in the same section, asks first. Every session kept on this device goes, with its summary. Your notes stay. Sessions kept in your account stay in your account. It also removes the copies this device holds of sessions in your account. In a Safari tab, Safari can clear what SaysHere stores after seven days of using Safari without opening SaysHere. To keep your sessions there, export them, or keep sessions in your account from now on. On an iPhone or an iPad, you can also add SaysHere to your Home Screen and import your sessions there. The Home Screen app keeps storage of its own.

Deleting your account

Your account's rows and your kept sessions are removed at once, or as soon as Stripe confirms a paid plan's cancellation, and from our backups within 30 days. The sessions kept on a device, and the copies it holds of sessions in your account, stay on that device, as your notes do. To remove them too, press Remove my sessions from this device on each device before you delete your account.
