Delete your account
Deleting your account stops sign-in at once and deletes what the account holds; the backups follow within 30 days.
On this page
In the app, open Account. On Profile, press Delete account at the foot of the page.
"Delete your account?" opens and says what happens next. Keep my account closes it and changes nothing.
From a public page, open Account and choose Account settings to reach Profile. If the header shows Menu instead, open it and choose Account settings.
Press Delete my account.
You land on the sign-in page, where "Your account is being deleted." shows, and sign-in stops.
If you signed in more than ten minutes ago, or by the link in the email, "Confirm it's you first" opens instead and says: "Use a sign-in code or an account you've linked." Once you have confirmed, "Delete your account?" opens again; press Delete my account once more.
What happens
Sign-in stops at once. A paid plan is cancelled at Stripe and ends now. Then everything in your account is deleted, and the backups follow within 30 days.
Notes on this device
Your notes are saved in your browser's storage on your device, under your account. They aren't stored on our server or copied to your other devices. Deleting the account leaves them on the device. To remove them too, press Remove my notes from this device on the Profile tab before you delete the account.
What happens to your data
Your account's rows and your kept sessions are removed at once, or as soon as Stripe confirms a paid plan's cancellation, and from our backups within 30 days. When you delete your account, we also keep a one-way hash of your email address and your Stripe customer number, so a late message from Stripe can be matched and set aside. Your choices
