Keep a session on your device or in your account
Before you press Start, choose whether SaysHere keeps the session when it ends: on this device, in your account, or not at all.

Choose where a session is kept
The Keep row at Start has three positions, and every account starts on the first. Not kept: Nothing is stored when the session ends. On this device: The transcript stays in this browser on this device. In my account: The transcript and its notes are saved to your account. A session kept in your account opens on your other devices too. This browser remembers the position you chose for your next session.
The first time you keep a session in your account
The first time you choose In my account, SaysHere asks for your consent once, in three short paragraphs. Keep in my account gives it and chooses that position. Not now closes the question and leaves the position where it was. While In my account is chosen, a line under the row says the day you agreed, with Withdraw beside it. Withdrawing stops keeping new sessions in your account and deletes nothing you kept.
Tell the room
Under the row is a sentence to tell the people you are talking with. It changes with the position you chose and with how your session is heard. When your phone or computer turns speech into text itself, the sentence says that no audio leaves it. While the Fact-checking row under Keep has Wikipedia on, the sentence also says that short search phrases made from what you say go to Wikipedia to check facts. A session kept in your account records the sentence with that clause. Saying it is recommended and not required. Once a kept session starts, Say it now shows the sentence above the transcript until the transcript holds it. After 20 seconds without it, a second line says it was not heard yet. Hide puts it away for the rest of the session.
Stop keeping a session while it runs
While a kept session runs, Controls shows where it is kept, with Stop keeping. The key asks first. Confirm with Stop keeping, and what the session kept so far is removed. From your account it goes at once, and from the backups within 30 days. The session goes on, not kept. Keep it closes the question, and the session stays kept. Controls also holds the Fact-checking part. Off stops new checks at once. In a session that started with Wikipedia off, On first shows the sentence to say to the room, and Turn on Wikipedia turns it on.
When a kept session ends
The end panel says where the session is kept. For a session kept in your account, SaysHere makes the summary and notes in the next few minutes and puts them on the session's page. A session too short for them says so. Open opens that page, and the Library link opens your Library. A session kept on this device shows its report on the end panel once it is made, with Open in the Library. On either panel, Delete asks before it deletes the session.
What happens to your data
If you choose In my account before you press Start, our server stores the session as it runs and keeps it when it ends: its transcript, the notes SaysHere makes from it (a summary, decisions and action items, each with the words it rests on), the suggested lines and fact-checks your screen showed with their sources and licence notices, and a record of the notice you gave the room: which sentence your screen showed, and whether and when it was said. We never sell it, and never use it to train or improve any AI model, ours or anyone's. A session you keep in your account
